  • Reikia imtuvo ar televizoriaus DVB-T žiūrėjimui, bet nežinote kurį pasirinkti: DVB-T ar DVB-T2. Geriau imkite DVB-T2. Toks tinka ir DVB-T ir DVB-T2 standarto signalams priimti. DVB-T imtuvas tinka tik DVB-T signalų priėmimui. Lietuvoje šiuo metu veiks bet kuris iš jų. Bet būkite atsargūs - kai kurie užsienyje parduodami senesni DVB-T imtuvai priima tik MPEG-2 signalus. Lietuvoje TV programų siuntimas vykdomas MPEG-4. Kitaip vadinamu H.264 standartu.
  • Planuojate remontą ar statote namą. Laikas pagalvoti apie televiziją, nes reikia pravesti reikiamus kabelius iki rozečių kur stovės televizoriai ar kita įranga. Tai rekomenduotina atlikti prieš atliekant namo ar buto apdailą. Nelaukite situacijos: noriu to ar kito, bet reikiamų kabelių nėra, sienos nudažytos, grindų apvadai priklijuoti.
  • Dalis naujų televizorių turi galimybę priimti palydovines programas, nes turi įmontuotą DVB-S2 standarto imtuvą. Tokiu atveju priedėlis nereikalingas. Jei domina tokia galimybė, paprašykite pardavėjo paaiškinti, kurie televizoriai tam tiktų.

How much does a TV antenna cost?

A common question for TV viewers is this: I installed a house, how much will it cost me to install a TV reception system?

Sometimes the question is similar: Does a 15-year-old satellite dish no longer show most channels, how much will it cost to renew?

It is very difficult to answer such questions without knowing the preferences of the TV viewer.

TV solutions are possible or much cheaper if you think ahead. You need to run the necessary cables to the sockets where the TV sets or other equipment will stand.

It is recommended to do this before finishing the house or apartment. Common situations: I want this or that, but there are no necessary cables, the walls are painted, the floor edges are glued.

Of course, solutions for different cases can always be found.

How much will a TV reception system cost?

The answer above needs to be sought in your needs. Maybe you will have enough terrestrial TV programs for one TV?

The price increases if we need the whole network: if we will watch TV programs in several rooms. The price is also rising if we want not only local terrestrial TV, but also satellite TV DVB-S2 programs in various foreign languages. Often, this is the optimal choice for watching free programs.

Paid TV packages will be even more expensive: in this case, you will also have to pay a monthly subscription fee.

If there is no DVB-S2 satellite receiver built into the TV, then not only a satellite dish is needed, but also a separate receiver - set-top box. And the price of receivers varies from a few tens to 500€ and more. Of course, quality, reliability, and capabilities depend on it.

There are also solutions for watching IPTV programs.

What if we have 8 rooms with TV sets?

Let's calculate... So to calculate, let's start by answering the following questions.

A. For local terrestrial TV:
1. What is the distance to the TV tower?
2. Are there any obstacles towards the TV tower (Forest, hill, buildings, mobile operator towers, etc. - it depends on what kind of gain antenna is needed, whether an LTE filter is needed (filter is designed to prevent LTE 4G Internet signals from entering TV set and interfere with normal operation); The simplest way to check is to measure the signal quality and calculate the terrain with the exact location)?
3. How many rooms need a TV?
4. Are the TV cables already routed? Are the sockets already connected in the rooms (Is a distribution network, amplifier needed?)?
5. What design will be required to mount the antenna?
6. Are the TV sets suitable for receiving local terrestrial TV programs (If not, will the set-top box or boxes be required)?
7. What level of equipment do we target? The cheapest, middle class, or higher?
8. Will it be necessary to rent a tower or scaffolding to install the antenna?

B. For DVB-S2 satellite TV (for foreign language TV programs):
1. Which language (s) and which TV programs do you prefer?
2. Will programs are viewed from multiple satellites (This depends on the programs you plan to watch)?
3. In how many rooms do you want to watch different programs at the same time?
4. Does the TV sets have an integrated DVB-S2 satellite receiver (Some TV sets have one. If not, will a satellite receiver (s) be required)?
5. Is it possible to point the antenna to the satellite position (Obstructed by forest, tall adjacent buildings, etc.)?
6. What design will be required to mount the antenna?
7. Are the cables routed from the satellite dish to the switchboard? How much? Are there cables already routed to the rooms?
8. What is the required functionality of the equipment - would you like to watch TV programs on your home Internet network? Would you like to watch one program and record another at the same time? Is it necessary for the same receiver to receive local national programs? Other wishes?
9. What level of equipment do we target? Cheapest, middle class, or higher (eg VU + ULTIMO 4K, where the price of one DVB-S2 receiver reaches 500€. And more)?
10. Will it be necessary to rent a tower or scaffolding to install the antenna?

Until these questions are answered, the price range for the installation of a television antenna (s) per television can range from 30€ (Local terrestrial TV indoor antenna only) to 900€.

The most popular set of satellite TV DVB-S2 reception systems with three heads and a mid-range satellite receiver costs 170€ per room. Installation work is included here.

A local terrestrial TV kit, when a simple antenna holder is enough, a medium-gain antenna, a short cable is enough will cost about 50€. Jeigu Lietuvoje bent dienai dingtų internetas, didžiausia problema greičiausiai būtų ne ta, kad negalėtume pasitikrinti socialinių tinklų. Kur kas svarbiau būtų, kad be ryšio stringa atsiskaitymai, navigacija, valstybės paslaugos, transportas, informacijos sklaida ir daugybė kasdienių sistemų, kurių su internetu nė nesiejame.
